40 years. One standard.
Dr. Probal Neogi trained at the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, and completed his MS at Moti Lal Nehru Medical College, Allahabad. In the 1990s, when advanced laparoscopic training was barely available in India, he spent five years as a surgical registrar in the UK's National Health Service then chose to bring that training home rather than stay abroad.
He has been teaching at The Moti Lal Nehru Medical College since 2002 and presently works as a Professor in Surgery. He had the honor of being elected, as the 82nd President of the Association of Surgeons of India in 2024.
